Strong Start Highlights Jackets' Win Over Mavs
STARKVILLE - Starkville jumped out to an 18-4 lead after the first quarter to set the tone in a 58-37 region win over Germantown on Tuesday night at The Nest.
The Jackets continued the hot start with 14 points in the second quarter to take a commanding, 32-11, halftime lead.
A trio of Jackets reached double figures in the scoring column. Senior Jaden Tate led all scorers with 12 points. Senior Jerwan McCarter and junior Ladanuel Jordan finished with 11 points each. Jordan collected a double-double with 11 rebounds.
Senior Terrell Warren, Jr. added seven points and seven rebounds in the contest, while junior Kobe Hendrix pulled down nine boards and scored six points.
SHS will host Clinton on Thursday night at The Nest. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. The region match up was moved up a day due to the winter weather concerns on Friday., Tickets are available at GoFan.co.
