Starkville Baseball Trio Inks With JUCO Programs
Torian Knox and Will Moody will play at EMCC, while Tyson Knox heads to Meridian CC
STARKVILLE - A trio of Starkville baseball players will be playing on a collegiate diamond in 2027 after they signed with two Mississippi JUCO programs.
Torian Knox and Will Moody will continue to be teammates in Scooba, Mississippi after inking with the Lions of East Mississippi CC, while Trson Know will wear the green and white at Meridian CC.
The three Jackets have been mainstays with the baseball program and will be counted upon for their leadership and experice for the 2026 season.
Torian, a two-sport athlete at SHS as a member of the Jacket football tream, can play multiple positions throughout the field and also can pitch from the right side of the mound. His brother, Tyson, also plays multiple spots on the diamond with experience in the outfield and at first base. He will also add pitching depth from the left side.
Moody is one of SHS's utility player that will see action throughout the diamond as a senior.
